Hello, fellow bakers!

I’m Jennifer, the baker behind Bake or Break. I started this blog in 2006 to share my love of baking, and it has been such a joy to connect with other bakers along the way. My focus is on simple, delicious recipes—because great baking doesn’t have to be complicated.

I grew up in Mississippi, where home-baked treats were always a part of life. My grandmother’s kitchen was full of warmth, wonderful aromas, and something sweet fresh from the oven. Those memories continue to inspire me every time I preheat my oven.

After years in the South, I moved to New York City in 2010 with my husband Quinn and our cats. Whether I’m baking old favorites or trying something new, I love sharing recipes that bring comfort, joy, and a little indulgence. I have a soft spot for classic cookies, easy everyday cakes, and anything with plenty of chocolate. For me, baking is part creativity, part comfort, and always a little bit of magic.

After nearly two decades of baking and sharing, I’m so grateful for this community of fellow bakers. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned pro, I hope you’ll find plenty of inspiration here.
