This easy-to-make Giant Chocolate Chip Cookie is perfect for sharing with a loved one or for enjoying all to yourself. Made with the basics, you can whip up the dough any time a craving strikes!
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone liner.
Whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
Stir together the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until thoroughly combined. Add the egg and vanilla, and mix well.
Add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, and mix just until combined or a few small streaks of flour remain.
Stir in the chocolate chips.
Transfer the dough to the prepared pan, and use your hands to form it into a tall, round cookie shape about 1 & 1/2 inches tall. (The cookie will spread as it bakes.)
Bake 16 to 20 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center appears set or almost set.
Place the pan on a wire rack and allow to cool before serving.
Notes
*Lightly beat the egg and measure 1 tablespoon to use in the dough.
