Ricotta Mousse

This creamy ricotta mousse is light, gently sweetened, and so easy to make. With just a handful of ingredients and no baking required, it’s the perfect make-ahead dessert for spring and summer.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup whole milk ricotta
  • 3 tablespoons honey or more to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • zest of 1/2 lemon or orange optional
  • pinch salt
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons heavy cream optional, for smoother texture

Method
 

  1. In a food processor or blender, combine the ricotta, honey, vanilla, zest, and salt.
  2. Blend until smooth and creamy. Add the cream and blend again if you’d like a fluffier texture.
  3. Taste and adjust sweetness or flavoring if needed.
  4. Divide into small serving glasses or ramekins. Chill for at least 1 hour before serving.

Notes

  • Store tightly covered in the refrigerator up to 3 days.
