In a large bowl, whisk together the whole wheat flour,  all-purpose flour, sugars, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

Mix the dry ingredients

Combine the wet ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together the oil, buttermilk, eggs, and vanilla extract.

Combine and fold

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and gently mix until just combined. Fold in the blueberries.

Fill the muffin cups

Divide the batter evenly among the muffin cups, filling them about 3/4 full. If you like, top with a heavy pinch of turbinado sugar.

Bake

Bake for 18-22 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
