Combine the flour, cornstarch, salt, and baking soda.

Stir together the butter, brown sugar, and sugar. Then mix in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla.

Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients, and then stir in the nuts and chocolate chips. Refrigerate for an hour.

Divide the dough into 1/4-cup portions, and roll into balls. Chill again for 30 minutes.
