Microwave the chocolate and butter in a microwave-safe bowl at half power in 30 second intervals, stirring between each, until the mixture is melted and smooth.

Finish the batter

Sift the sugar and cocoa powder into a small mixing bowl, then add it to the butter and chocolate mixture.

Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the pan comes out clean.
