With a hand mixer or a whisk, combine the ricotta and mascarpone cheeses until well mixed.

Mix in the confectioners’ sugar, vanilla extract, and almond extract until thoroughly combined and smooth.

Fold them in gently, reserving some to use as a garnish when serving.
