Step 1. In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
Step 2. In another bowl, use a mixer to beat butter, sugar, and brown sugar together. Then, add in the egg and vanilla.
Step 3. Mix in the flour in 3 portions, alternating with the milk. Stir until everything is just combined.
Step 4. Pour the finished batter into the cake pan and then scatter the blueberries over the top. Next, sprinkle some sanding sugar over the top as well.
Step 5. Put the cake pan in the oven and bake the cake for 10 minutes. Then, reduce the oven temperature, and bake for 50-60 minutes more.
Step 6. Let the cake cool in the pan for 15 minutes, then remove it and transfer it to a wire rack.
