Step 1. Beat the cream cheese and confectioners’ sugar until smooth. Then refrigerate while you make the cookies.

Step 2. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.

Step 3. Mix together the cooled butter, brown sugar, and sugar on medium speed.

Step 4. Add the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla, and mix well.

Step 5. With the mixer on low speed, gradually add the flour mixture.

Step 6. Stir the chocolate chips into the dough.

Step 7. Cover and chill the dough in the fridge. Then scoop it into dough balls and slightly flatten each one in your hands.

Step 8. Add the cheesecake filling in the center of the flattened dough.
